About This Game

Quick Overview
F1 25 is the official Formula 1 racing game from Codemasters and EA Sports, released on May 30, 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It brings the 2025 F1 season, real teams and drivers, updated presentation, improved track detail, and the return of the story mode Braking Point 3.

What makes F1 25 more interesting than a simple yearly update is the focus on career and track authenticity. Some circuits, including Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola, were rebuilt using LIDAR scanning, while Silverstone, Zandvoort, and Red Bull Ring can also be raced in reverse layouts.

Who Should Play This Game?
You should play F1 25 if you enjoy Formula 1, realistic racing, career progression, time trials, online races, and improving lap by lap. It is a strong pick for players who like learning braking points, tire management, weather changes, pit strategy, and clean overtakes.

It is also better for players who want more than quick races. Braking Point 3 gives the game a dramatic story side, while the revamped My Team mode lets you build and manage your own F1 team instead of only driving race after race.

However, if you want arcade racing like Forza Horizon or Need for Speed, F1 25 may feel too strict. The fun comes from precision, patience, and consistency, not crashing through traffic at full speed.

Performance on PC
F1 25 is a modern racing game, so it needs a decent PC, especially if you want high FPS, ray tracing, or VR. Minimum specs ask for 8 GB RAM, an i5-6400 / Ryzen 3 1200, and a GTX 1060 6GB / RX 570 8GB, with 100 GB storage. Recommended specs ask for 16 GB RAM, an i5-9600K / Ryzen 5 2600X, and an RTX 2070 / RX 6600 XT.

On a mid-range PC, it should run well at 1080p with tuned settings. But if you turn on ray tracing, play in VR, or target high refresh rate racing, the GPU requirement jumps higher. For the smoothest experience, use an SSD, keep motion blur low, adjust shadows/reflections, and prioritize stable FPS because racing games feel much worse when frames drop mid-corner.
