Wild Hearts is a monster-hunting action RPG where you track giant nature-infused beasts called Kemono across a fantasy land inspired by feudal Japan. You hunt creatures, craft stronger weapons and armor, learn attack patterns, and prepare for bigger fights as the world becomes more dangerous.
What makes Wild Hearts different is the Karakuri system. These are buildable tools you can create during hunts — walls, traps, launchers, platforms, gliders, and other devices that help with combat and movement. This is not a casual hack-and-slash game. The fun comes from preparation, patience, positioning, and understanding each monster’s behavior. It works best if you enjoy long fights, weapon mastery, farming materials, and co-op teamwork. If you want short missions with simple combat, Wild Hearts may feel demanding.
Performance on PC
Wild Hearts is quite demanding on PC. The Steam page lists Intel Core i5-8400 / Ryzen 5 2600, 12 GB RAM, GTX 1060 6GB / RX 5500 XT 8GB, DirectX 12, and 80 GB storage as minimum requirements for 1080p/30 FPS on Lowest settings. Recommended specs include Intel Core i7-8700K / Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, and RTX 2070 / RX 5700 XT.
On a modern mid-range PC, it should be playable with tuned settings, but this is not a low-end-friendly game. Large monsters, particle effects, destructible moments, and co-op hunts can hit performance hard. For a smoother experience, 16 GB RAM, an SSD, and a strong GPU are much safer than aiming for the minimum specs.
