About This Game

Quick Overview
Towerborne is a side-scrolling action RPG where you play as an Ace, fighting through colorful zones filled with monsters, bosses, loot, and fast melee combat. The game mixes beat ’em up action with RPG progression, so you are not just clearing enemies — you are also improving gear, unlocking abilities, and building your character over time.

The main appeal is its co-op adventure style. You can play solo, but the game is clearly built for players who enjoy teaming up, smashing through enemy waves, and chasing better rewards after each mission. After Early Access feedback, the game also moved away from its original free-to-play plan and became a premium game with offline play and online co-op.

Who Should Play This Game?
Play Towerborne if you like action RPGs that are easy to jump into but still have progression, loot, and repeatable missions. It is a good pick for fans of co-op brawlers, fantasy action, character upgrades, and games where combat feels more active than turn-based.

It is also a strong choice if you want something less serious than a hardcore RPG but deeper than a simple arcade beat ’em up. However, if you want a huge open world, heavy story choices, or realistic combat, Towerborne may feel more mission-based and arcade-like than what you are looking for.

Performance on PC
On PC, Towerborne is moderately demanding but not extreme. The minimum specs list Windows 10/11 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, a 4-core CPU around 3.2 GHz, GTX 1000-series or AMD RX 590 graphics, DirectX 12, broadband internet, and 25 GB of storage. Recommended specs move up to 16 GB RAM, a quad-core 3.4 GHz CPU, and an RTX 2070 or RX 5700 XT for 1080p at higher settings and 60 FPS.

Most modern mid-range PCs should handle it well at 1080p, especially if you lower shadows, effects, and post-processing. A controller is recommended, and performance should mainly depend on combat effects, enemy count, and co-op action rather than massive open-world rendering.
