About This Game

Quick Overview
Squad is a large-scale tactical FPS built around teamwork, communication, and realistic combined-arms combat. Instead of playing like a fast solo shooter, it puts you inside 100-player battles where infantry, vehicles, logistics, medics, squad leaders, and commanders all matter. The game is designed to sit between arcade shooters and full military simulation, so it feels more serious than Battlefield but more accessible than something like Arma.

The real hook is communication. Winning is not just about having good aim; it is about listening to your squad leader, calling enemy positions, building FOBs, defending objectives, transporting supplies, and moving as a unit. A quiet player running alone usually gets punished fast. But when a squad works together, even a simple push across a field can feel intense and cinematic.

Who Should Play This Game?
You should play Squad if you enjoy tactical shooters, military teamwork, voice chat coordination, large maps, slower gunfights, and realistic battlefield pressure. It is a strong pick for players who want something more serious than casual multiplayer shooters, but not as complex as a full military simulator.

It is also great if you like playing roles instead of only chasing kills. You can be a rifleman, medic, machine gunner, anti-tank soldier, vehicle crewman, pilot, squad leader, or logistics driver. But if you dislike using a mic, following team orders, or spending time moving between objectives, Squad may feel slow and frustrating.

Performance on PC
Squad is more demanding than it looks, especially because of its large maps, 100-player servers, vehicles, explosions, and long-distance rendering. The current Steam minimum requirements list Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 3600, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060 6GB / RX 580 with at least 6 GB VRAM, DirectX 12, broadband internet, and 65 GB storage.

On a modern mid-range gaming PC, it should be playable, but stable FPS depends a lot on the map, server, player count, and combat intensity. For smoother performance, lowering shadows, effects, view distance, and anti-aliasing can help. Since this is a tactical online shooter, a stable frame rate and good internet connection are more important than pushing the highest graphics settings
