Middle-earth: Shadow of War runs well on most modern PCs, but it still needs a decent amount of storage. The Steam minimum requirements list Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, an AMD FX-4350 / Intel Core i5-2300, 6 GB RAM, a Radeon HD 7870 2GB / GTX 660 2GB, DirectX 11, and 70 GB of storage.

On current mid-range hardware, 1080p should be very manageable, and even older gaming PCs can usually handle it with tuned settings. If FPS drops during fortress battles or large fights, lower shadows, texture quality, ambient occlusion, vegetation, and anti-aliasing first.

Because the game can throw many Orcs, effects, explosions, and siege moments on screen at once, stable FPS matters more than max visuals. Smooth combat makes counters, dodges, stealth kills, and captain fights feel much better.
