About This Game
Quick Overview
MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is a fast side-scrolling beat ’em up where Marvel heroes fight against Annihilus and the Annihilation Wave. It was developed by Tribute Games and published by Dotemu and Gamirror Games, with a PC release on December 1, 2025. The game features 15 playable Marvel Super Heroes, including Spider-Man, Wolverine, She-Hulk, Captain America, Phoenix, Black Panther, Storm, Iron Man, Rocket Raccoon, Beta Ray Bill, Venom, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Nova, Phyla-Vell, and Silver Surfer.
The main hook is the Cosmic Swap system. Instead of using only one hero, you choose two heroes for each level and switch between them instantly. This makes the combat feel more creative because you can mix powers, combos, special attacks, and team setups instead of just button-mashing with one character.
Who Should Play This Game?
You should play MARVEL Cosmic Invasion if you like arcade beat ’em ups, Marvel characters, pixel-art action, couch co-op, and quick levels full of enemies. It is a strong pick for fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, because it comes from Tribute Games and Dotemu again, but this time with a bigger superhero roster and more character variety.
It is also a good choice if you want a fun co-op game for friends or family. Steam lists support for single-player, online co-op, shared/split-screen co-op, cross-platform multiplayer, and Remote Play Together, so it works well as both a solo brawler and a multiplayer party-style action game.
You may not enjoy it if you want a deep open-world Marvel game or a long RPG-style campaign. This is more of a colorful, replayable arcade game where the fun comes from short stages, hero swapping, combos, and co-op chaos.
Performance on PC
MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is very light on PC. The minimum requirements target 1080p at 30 FPS and only need Windows 10, an Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 / Athlon 64 X2 6400+, 4 GB RAM, and a GT 320 / Radeon HD 6570 / Intel HD Graphics, with just 1 GB of storage required.
For 1080p at 60 FPS, Steam recommends Windows 10, an Intel Core i3-540 / AMD Phenom II X2 550, 8 GB RAM, and a GT 730 / Radeon R7 240 / Intel HD Graphics, again with only 1 GB of storage.
Because it is a 2D pixel-art beat ’em up, most modern PCs and laptops should run it smoothly. For the best experience, prioritize stable frame rate over extra visual effects, especially in co-op when the screen gets busy with enemies, projectiles, and superhero attacks.
